Becoming A Host

What Are Hosts Responsible For?

Hosts are ambassadors for the events amd are expected to promote the events to the appropriate members of their networks. In addition, Hosts are expected to arrive at each event 45 minutes prior to the start of the event to help organize the event and create a plan for a successful event.

During an event, Hosts are expected to actively engage the attendees and help ensure the experience is worthwhile for them. This means the Hosts may help facilitate introductions, ensure that no one is alone in the room, etc. Several Hosts will be assigned specific responsibilities at each event. In most cases, this means that Hosts are asked to stay near the entrance of the event and will greet attendees and provide them with an introduction to another attendee to help jump start their networking activities for the night.

Why Would I Want To Be A Host?

We realize that becoming a Host means you are taking on additional responsibility. It also means you have more visibility at the event because all of the attendees are provided introductions to the hosts and are told to utilize the hosts for introductions, etc. If you believe you get more by giving more, becoming a host is perfect for you.

In addition to the visibility at the event, we feature the hosts on the event registration pages and we feature hosts in the members area of our online community.
