Community Rules

First. This is not a complete list - It is a work in progress and we fully intend to adjust these rules as the community matures. If you have any questions, please Contact Us. Our online community is an extension of our live events and is designed for event attendees.

Profiles

Your profile is a great way to share more information about what you and your business does. We encourage you to create a profile and have a few guidelines for you to bear in mind:

  • No "Company" Profiles - profiles have to be for individuals, not for companies. We don't allow anonymous profiles.
  • Profiles are for one person - don't create one profile for several people...create a profile for each person in your organization instead.
  • Profiles can't be anonymous - you have to include a name, etc. However, you can control who see this information by adjusting the privacy settings on your account.

Spam

This is a professional community and we won't tolerate SPAM on the site. We consider spam:

  • Posting the same message repeatedly on the site
  • Posting overly promotional messages on other users profiles
  • Send unsolicited commercial messages to users who have not requested them

This is not a complete list, but you get the idea. If you spam the system, we will remove you from the community without warning.

Event Listings

We do not allow generic promotion of events on this site or in the blogs. However, you are able to purchase an event listing on our "Events" page. For more information, click here.

Blog Posts

Your blog is a great place to share helpful information, news, etc. Please don't use the blogging system as a means to endlessly promote your products and services without adding any real value to the community. Here are a couple of guidelines:

  • Your post must be original and must have never been published before on the Internet. A blog post may contain links to other sites, articles or blogs posts that it references or describes, so long as the subject and content of the blog post being submitted to Networked Events is unique and stands on its own as a meaningful contribution to the community.
  • If your post is purely promotional, it will be removed. This means you can't just post a link, announcement or ad on the blog.
  • Blog posts should be substantive - two sentences are not enough to make up a blog post.
  • Please use professional language on this website. If you post "adult" language, we may remove you from the site without warning.

Photos

Please do not post any photos (or videos) on this website unless you have permission to do so. Please make sure the photos are PG-13 and appropriate for a professional environment. Innappropriate content will be removed and may result in your removal from the community.
